What xenofluid means.
Xenofluid is genderfluidity where the stops are xenogenders. The gender moves, as any fluid gender does. Where it lands is mostly, or entirely, or sometimes only a little, in the territory described through things other than man and woman: a season, a texture, a sound, a creature. The LGBTQIA+ Wiki’s definition allows the range to include binary genders and demigenders too, or to have no connection to them at all.
That inclusiveness is the point. The wiki separates three nearby words: exofluid, fluid only among xenogenders with everything else static; gendersylph, fluid among xenogenders and never within the binary; and xenofluid, the widest of the three. If you want the least restrictive word, this is it.
Be told the paper trail plainly. The wiki records a mention on a Tumblr blog in 2018, a full definition in 2020, three flags made in one day, and no confirmed coiner. There is no community forum, no history, no elder to ask. This page describes the shape the word points at, and says so where the ground is thin.

Xenofluid's earliest documented appearance, per the LGBTQIA+ Wiki, is a mention on the Tumblr blog Xeno-Aligned on 8 February 2018, in a post answering a question about whether a word existed for genderfluidity confined to xenogenders — suggesting the term arose from a direct request rather than from a single coiner setting out to name something. It was not fully defined until Tumblr user logchamp collected and defined it on 9 October 2020; the wiki states outright that it is unknown and unconfirmed who coined it first.
logchamp also made all three recorded flags for the term on 21 October 2020, giving colour meanings for disconnection from the binary, comfort in that disconnection, variety in gender alignment, fluidity of identity and neurodiversity — though secondary sources disagree on the exact hex values, and the surviving flag image is a compressed JPEG rather than a clean source file.

No pronoun comes with the word. Most people who use it settle on one set that survives every stop, often they/them; some use neopronouns, and some change sets as the gender does and tell the few people who need to know. Pronouns are a request for something workable, not a description of the current stop.

What is the difference between xenofluid and genderfluid?+
Genderfluid is any gender that changes over time, with no claim about where it goes. Xenofluid is genderfluid where the stops are mostly or entirely xenogenders: genders described through colour, weather, sound, creatures and the like. Every xenofluid person is genderfluid in the broad sense. Most genderfluid people never land on a xenogender.
Can a xenofluid person also be a man or a woman sometimes?+
Yes, on the LGBTQIA+ Wiki’s definition. Xenofluid can include binary genders and demigenders in the range. Exofluid and gendersylph are the stricter words for people whose range never touches the binary.
Is xenofluid a real term?+
It has a record: a Tumblr mention in 2018, a definition and flags in 2020, and no confirmed coiner. That is the whole trail. Whether it is real for you depends on whether “my gender moves, and the stops are xeno” is the honest sentence. If it is, the word does its job; if not, no wiki can make it fit.
