What MyGender is
A library. 138 gender identities in 9 categories, each written up as an experience rather than a dictionary line: what it feels like, how it plays out at work and at home, how to tell it apart from the ones next to it, and honest reasons it might not be you.
A test. It scores your answers on your own device and shows the identities that fit that shape, ranked, with the near-misses included. It suggests. You decide. It never tells you what you are; that part was never ours.
The result is free, all of it, and it stays in your browser. It is never put in a link, a receipt or an email.
The site is paid for in three ways: contextual advertising on content pages, optional paid reports offered after the free result, and affiliate links, disclosed where they appear. Nothing you need is behind a paywall.

The named author is added before launch. The tokens above are placeholders, shown on purpose: we would rather show a gap than invent a person to look credible.
How the pages are made
Plainly: every page starts as a draft written with AI assistance, working from how the community actually uses each word and from the documentation that exists for it.
The named author then edits it, checks it and signs it off. Every page shows the date it was last updated.
When something is wrong, tell us and we correct it, and the correction is dated. The editorial policy has the detail, including what ads may and may not do.
What we don’t do
- We don’t store your result. It stays in your browser, and only there.
- We don’t put ads on the test or the result. Conversion and trust are not for rent.
- We don’t run countdowns, fake counters or “X people took the test”. Every number on this site is computed from the data behind it when the site is built.
- We don’t invent flags. 35 of the 138 identities show a flag with a settled stripe set; 27 of those carry a designer and a date on record, and the rest say so on their flag page. The other 103 identities show a hatched swatch and say so.
