How to tell them apart
- Say "neutral" out loud about yourself. If it lands as exactly right — a real thing to be, not a compromise — that is neutrois. If neutral still sounds like a reading on a dial you are not on, and you would sooner say "nothing", that is agender.
- Picture yourself fully seen. If the picture has no chest, no hips, not much jaw, and the words that keep surfacing are flat, smooth, gone, you are reading the neutrois page. If you are fine in the body you have and object only to what people conclude from it, that is more often agender.
- Notice what sir and ma'am do. Neutrois people describe both landing the same — two wrong answers, no secret flicker of pleasure at either. Agender people often describe neither landing anywhere at all.
