Snowgender is one of four. Quagender, per the LGBTQIA+ Wiki, is a fluid gender that shifts with the seasons: sunnygender in summer, crispgender in autumn, snowgender in winter, raingender in spring. Snowgender is the winter one — a gender related to, and experienced during, winter.
The record is blunt about the limits: snowgender cannot be defined outside its relation to quagender. It is not a standalone identity you hold in July. It is what a quagender person is when the days are short.
That makes it different from frostgender, which is a cold, snowy gender that does not move with the calendar and can sit in you flat through August. Snow is a season; frost is a texture. This is a very small word: the wiki dates it to January 2017 or earlier, coined by an unknown person, with a flag from the same time by the Pride-Flags account on DeviantArt. No research, no history, no count. It sits under xenogender.

Snowgender was coined on or before 19 January 2017 by an unknown individual, per the LGBTQIA+ Wiki, as the winter member of quagender — a set of four seasonal genders (sunnygender, crispgender, snowgender, raingender) that together describe a gender shifting with the calendar. The flag was made around the same date by DeviantArt user Pride-Flags.
It belongs to a small cluster of mid-2010s Tumblr and DeviantArt-coined "weather" and "season" genders, most without any individual credited, that treated natural cycles as a template for describing gender that changes on a schedule rather than at random.

Not as the wiki defines it. The record says snowgender cannot be defined outside its relation to quagender: it is the winter position of a gender that cycles through all four seasons. If only the cold one is yours, and it stays, frostgender is the word that was made for that.
What is the difference between snowgender and frostgender?+
Timing. Frostgender is a gender that feels cold and snowy and stays that way regardless of the calendar. Snowgender is seasonal by definition — it is what a quagender person is in winter, and it goes when winter goes. Same imagery, opposite relationship to time.
