Amalgagender is a unique and specific gender identity that is closely tied to intersex identity. Individuals who identify as amalgagender feel that their gender is influenced by, or intertwined with, their intersex status. As a nonbinary identity, amalgagender does not conform to the traditional binary gender categories of male and female.
The labels intergirl and interboy are subsets of amalgagender and refer specifically to individuals who identify as both intersex and female or male, respectively. It is important to note that amalgagender is a term intended for use exclusively by intersex people, as it reflects the intersectionality of gender identity and intersex status.
